Atishi Alleges Plot to Harm CM Kejriwal Amid ED’s Dietary Claims

In a dramatic turn of events, Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi has alleged a sinister plot to harm Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently under arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the excise policy case. Atishi’s claims surfaced shortly after the ED presented its version regarding Kejriwal’s dietary habits in court.

At the heart of the controversy are assertions by Atishi that Kejriwal, despite being diabetic, was denied access to home-cooked food and insulin during his time in jail. She vehemently argued that these actions were part of a conspiracy to endanger the Chief Minister’s life.

The ED’s stance, however, differs significantly. They countered Atishi’s claims by stating that Kejriwal’s fasting sugar levels remained within acceptable limits, contrary to her allegations of a spike in blood sugar levels. The jail authorities also clarified that Kejriwal was being provided with home-cooked food and necessary medical care as per court orders.

Atishi’s press conference highlighted the intricate details of Kejriwal’s medical condition, emphasizing his long-standing battle with diabetes and the strict dietary regimen he follows, including the use of prescribed sweeteners and insulin doses.

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has intervened in the matter, instructing the Director General of Prisons to furnish a comprehensive report addressing the AAP’s concerns regarding Kejriwal’s health while in Tihar jail. The LG assured that any lapses in providing adequate medical care to the CM would not be tolerated.

The ongoing legal battle surrounding Kejriwal’s health and dietary preferences has added a layer of complexity to the larger excise policy case. As the ED and AAP continue to present their arguments in court, the focus remains on ensuring the well-being of Arvind Kejriwal and upholding transparency in the judicial process.
